Adult Therapy
Adults seek adult therapy for many different reasons.
At times, an individual may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, caught in recurring relationship patterns, struggling with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, trauma, grief, or a growing sense that something no longer feels sustainable.
Sometimes people come to therapy wanting support through a specific life experience, while others are looking to understand how past experiences, relationships and environments may continue to shape the way they feel, respond and relate in the present.
Therapy can provide a space for reflection, skill development, support, healing, self-understanding and personal growth, at a pace that feels right for you.
While it is often a particular difficulty, diagnosis or experience that brings an individual to therapy, I offer an approach that endeavours to see a broader context for each person.
Together, we explore patterns of feeling, thinking, behaving and relating with curiosity and compassion, gently looking at how these may be showing up emotionally or physically, and steadily creating space for new ways of responding over time.
My Clinical Approach
My approach is relational, trauma-informed and attachment-based, drawing on psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and contemporary understandings of trauma and interpersonal neurobiology including nervous system-informed approaches grounded in applied polyvagal theory.
While my clinical training is broad, I aim to work collaboratively and flexibly, adapting therapy to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
